Merry Christmas! Champions Classic is Tonight

Meanwhile Providence is just dismantling Sacred Heart. 79-37 with 14 left to play. Makes it ever more important to get a great result vs Sacred heart on Friday.

I kinda prefer the 20 minute halves. Obviously the women's game has switched to it. Why do you prefer it? Sorry if that comes off snarky, don't mean to be.
Fewer TV timeouts makes play less choppy, and fouls resetting after each quarter helps avoid 10 minutes of free throws which is all too common now.

The one thing I don’t like is that they’ve eliminated one and one in the women’s game. I’d prefer one and one on fouls 5 and 6 of the quarter, and then two free throws on foul number 7.

For Florida it’s all blackshear on both ends of the floor. Our bigs need to have the game of their lives and shut him down and anything can happen

Albeit against a terrible opponent but James Wiseman looks like a number 1 pick, every bit of 7’/7’6 wingspan.

Would there really be less timeouts? Wouldn’t it be the same or more?

I made my own thread then deleted it bc I realized this thread was here

It was a sloppy but fun game. I’m feeling optimistic about our direction. Think we are one Andre Jackson and one Javonte Brown Ferguson away from being able to stack up with these guys again. This year, not quite.

Loved seeing Kofi’s national championship contender team go into OT with Nicholls. Kofi Gad 10pts and 11rebs and overall 4 of the starting 5 played well but they have no bench.

wistful thinking. once upon a time the dream 2020 class was: thomas, jackson, ware, and cliff.

would be very happy with AJ and Javonte Brown Ferguson though. they would be equivalent to the 50th ranked class in 2019, give or take*, which is good for only 2 guys. hurley just has to add a summer grad transfer.

could finally enjoy a full season without worrying about recruiting!

* using 247 class calculator with a ranking of 70 for AJ and 100 for Javonte Brown Ferguson, who is currently 88 but will drop down after reclassifying.

Has Michigan State ever won one of these big matchups to start the season?

they've won 3 games in 9 years. and the big10 hasnt won a chip in 20 lol

Big East > Big10. cant wait to be part of the gavitt games and help establish dominance across the north east AND mid west.
