I took note of a few plays with both Mensah and Newsome in the backfield. I believe Newsome split left or went to the slot. Regardless it's a great set for UConn because Nesome take a LB or safety out of the box and gives Lashlee options for runs up the middle.
Even if a team blitzes there's a quick dump to Newsome in space.
Hopkins looked strong on his carries too. Looks like it took Lashlee about six quarters to figure out the RB rotation.
Remember Lashlee doesn't have any problem getting yardage via the run.
