NDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The NCAA announced Monday that all 67 men’s basketball tournament games including the Final Four will be played entirely in Indiana in a bid to keep the marquee event from being called off for a second consecutive year because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Games will be played one at a time on two courts inside Lucas Oil Stadium, home of the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts. They will also be held at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, Hinkle Fieldhouse, Indiana Farmers Coliseum, Mackey Arena at Purdue, and Assembly Hall in Bloomington.

I expect the same for the Women.

Come to Vegas baby, we have the hotels and enough basketball courts to keep everyone within 5 miles of their hotel rooms. Heck they could contract the Palms Hotel and Casino, temporarily closed, to host all of the teams in the hotel and feed all the teams in the A.Y.C.E. buffet so that they would be completely isolated and in a bubble.

New COVID-19 strain first discovered in UK now identified in Indiana

SMH, that is so NCAA. They pick a spot for the tourney and turns out to be in a state that has super-COVID.

This is too logical of an idea for the NCAA to adopt LOL. All joking aside, if Vegas has 4 facilities available, you could do each region at one of the facilities - 1st 2 rounds, then put all the teams at 1 facility for the remaining 4 rounds. The hardest part will be coordinating the 32 games in the 1st round.

I don't think they could get away with only 2 facilities - 16 games over 2 days at each one? That's too much. Probably can't do more than 5 or so games in 1 day at any facility. Given there will probably be no fans, it's not like you'd have to worry about emptying the stadium between each session.

Vegas could have 16 basketball courts for the first round, could even have 32 if they used all of the unused convention space currently on the Strip alone.
