Memphis vs UCF - AAC title game

How many of these UCF guys played on the 0-12 team in 2015 I wonder?

Do either of these teams ever play defenses? Haven’t watched either team outside when they played us.

They are both moving up and down the field like a practice!

Neither team will stand a chance in a NY6 bowl against a P5 school with any semblance of a defense
They are incredibly fast teams. They stand are very good chance.

Hope the UCF players didn't check twitter at the half:

I'd love to see just one of these coaches have enough integrity to stay where they are and build something. Funny how they want their contract terms when things don't go well, but will jump at the first shiny object. No loyalty or integrity, yet they expect atheletes to live and die with their choices.

I love defense, but this game is fantastic. I actually got up excited for this one and we are talking AAC football.

Ucf has to many options on offense to stop. I would be interested to see if they could so that to Alabama though.

I understand your point completely. But it might be better for us if they had constant coaching uncertainty and changes.

UCF vs Georgia or Alabama in the Peach Bowl is a fine consolation prize to a final 4 bowl game. It will have plenty of intrigue.

Where was UConn's integrity in not staying loyal to Bob Diaco for the duration of his contract? I fully understand why he was fired but that is the other side of the coin to what you are saying? In this industry you go to whoever is willing to pay you the money. If you are not successful you will be out the door very fast. Your only loyalty can be to your family and what is best for them. I many situations money dictates that.

He was given 3 years to moderately perform and was paid out for miserably performing. You are mixing issues. You miss the point.

What a contrast to the typical ACC championship game with the stadium in Charlotte half filled.

And where was BC's loyalty to the Big East? Nothing shows what college sports is all about better than what the greedy, backstabbing Jesuits did.

You miss the point. If you fail you are out the door. Bob Diaco failed horribly and deserved to be fired. How about guys that have a winning record but are still out the door. Texas A&M and Arizona State come to mind. No loyalty to guys many would say were successful.

I'd normally agree, but Frost went to Nebraska. He's got more of his life invested there than he does at UCF.

It won’t matter as the team will be playing without the head coach who got them there. The team will be disheartened, get blown out, and then the talking heads will thump their chests and reaffirm to all why a G5 school has no place in the playoffs and should thank their overlords for letting them at least get a sniff of a NY6 game....

But if UConn had left for greener pastures if would have been different. Right?

Hartford Hank, aren't you going to "like" this post? Didn't think so.

I'm not buying these teams don't beat P5s in major bowls. We've been watching it happen almost every year for 15 years. These teams are loaded with speed.

Dude, if you are that bearish about G5 programs, why watch at all?

Don’t get me wrong, if Frost sticks around I think UCF could totally hang with any of the top teams. My point is most years, the NY6 team is playing with an interim coach because their head coach left and gets blown out. It happened in the BCS years too. Cincy got blasted the year Kelly left before their BCS game. Houston won their game but Herman stuck around that season.

It just sucks for the kids who pay their butts off and then have to go into the biggest game of their careers without the coach who led them there because he found a job that pays a lot more. I know it’s the G5 reality but it’s the truth.

2nd week in a row, high scoring, entertaining game, going down to the wire. Can't ask for anymore if you're Aresco.

I’m surprised how many people like watching this kind of football. This is complete garbage.

Why would I like the post, it is WRONG! Attendance in Charlotte has been very good! It will be a sellout tonight as it was last time the game was there!

Almost every year? Please go back 15 years and show where it has happened "almost every year"? How about showing us where it has happened 10 of the last 15 years?

Boy, watching UCF, USF and Memphis over the past 2 weeks, you realize we need a gunslinger to keep pace with these teams. The AAC reminds me of the old WAC. We can't survive playing chain to chain possession football.

Hmmm, you sound like you are still watching.

But I bet you have watched far more of this high scoring and now tied so called POS game than that B12 championship snooze on Fox. Is there a pulse in that building in B12 Land.

Curious ...

I wonder if you are like this in your career and professional life. Scott Frost, seemingly, could have had UCLA or Florida ... but is going back to a PLACE that he loves in Nebraska. That actually is a contrarian thought this day. Would you stay at the corner convenience store if Shop& Save offered you 150% more; would our businesslawyer stay with his Dad's firm if Skadden Arps offered him 1000% more?

Ain't just about shiny objects for these guys. And ... I think - as we saw with HCRE - how you exit a job, marriage, school, family is important. Do the best you can with kids you presumably have relationships with.

You’re such a blowhard. Tonight will be sold out. Most years they have the upper deck tarped off.

Not garbage. You have QBs making amazingly accurate throws and receivers making great catches in tight windows. The run D is being shredded because of pass offense.
