Her record is, um, sad. She coached at the NY Liberty as an assistant in the early years. Later, as a head coach, at American. I think I have heard some rumors before, but they may be only the ones mentioned in the article.

I found this article also on the details of her contract extension AT THE SAME TIME AS THE INVESTIGATION and the mess that seems to be within the Athletic Department. What I found disturbing what comments from McFaddens representatives that “Melissa is amenable to the outside investigation” in conjunction with her contract extension. Seriously? That is very bad form.

Who knows what the truth is about the situation but having language in the contract requiring the University President as the only one who can fire her with cause seems excessive as shouldn’t the AD be the owner of this?
