'Twas interested in hearing about some of your "most memorable" interactions with opposing fans at a UConn sporting event.

One that sticks out in my head: a Cuse fan was taunting me at the Gampel game in 2012. I said calmly back to him "we have 3x the number of championships you have" and that pretty much shut him up.

You're welcome to share positive stories too.

We had empty Keystone Light cans thrown at us in the Carrier Dome in Syracuse in 2007. My friend caught one and told the offender that the next time he throws a beer at him it should be full so he could drink it.

Went to visit a buddy at Syracuse before the 2007 basketball game. (17-14 season) We had beaten Cuse at home earlier in the year.

Me and@HitTheBoneyard went to their student union for late night food the night before the game. I believe they had a taco bell that we went to. We ended up standing on chairs and started a UConn chant. Our buddy who attended cuse was mortified. We were escorted out by the police because we were about to get our a$$es kicked.

I'll always remember waiting in line to enter the semis in Tampa in '99 when a drunk and very obnoxiously funny Ohio State fan right in front of us was teasing my buddy and me with an "EIGHT; ZERO" chant, pointing to himself with the eight and us with the zero to denote our respective prior Final Four appearances. It was funny, but we had the last laugh.

It was that crappy year after the NIT and before the Dream Season. The team, and especially Uncle Cliffy should have been better. We're at the PCC watching us lose a game we really needed in frustrating, rock fight fashion. The year before we were yelling PC NIT! Now we have a bunch of Providence fans sitting on the stairs next to our seats. One of them starts throwing shade and my brother was having none of it. He's getting more and more pissed as he goes: "Look buddy, I'm in a seat, you're sitting on the stairs. That means I have better seats than you and I hate your team. And you know what that makes you? A bandwagon fan. And I'm not going to listen to any BS from a gdamn bandwagon fan!"

Then this woman from the stairs starts, "Well, I don't think..." Bro cuts in and says to the guy, "Who the is this, Mrs. Bandwagon?" That killed me and our group. And those guys found some other stairs to sit on while we were laughing.

While I was being taunted by a Clemson fan I continued to watch Scotty's pass and Tate's shot. All that taunting fan saw was me raising my arms in victory

UConn - Duke in East Rutherford a few years back....a group of Duke fans were in front of us and were the most obnoxious, arrogant people you can imagine (not unlike 80% of Duke fans). In any event, the game was miserable and we had no answer for their skill level but at one point another group of Duke fans comes up to the people in front of us to compliment them for being so loud and they ask what years they were in Durham.

"Oh, we're all Penn State grads....we just love Duke Basketball!"

All you needed to do was add a Pitt connection and you would have had the confluence of the three schools that I hate the most.

Not fan-related, but I once flipped off Josh Pastner in the lobby of the Nathan Hale in 2016. That one felt good.

Not sure you can count social media interactions but the 2015-16 season Cincy fans were most obnoxious on Twitter. Then Jalen Adams' 70 footer happened.

Had a real good exchange with a GTown fan in 2013 during our epic game. He looked like Shawn Hunter and was obnoxious all game. After one call went our way he yelled out “weak foul! What is this the Pac10!?” I replied “no must be the catholic 7!” We had a couple other exchanges but sadly he got the last laugh that might.

Also, after the last Cuse game at XL; we walked past a bunch Cuse fans waiting in line for the elevator and yelled “elevators are for cowards!! We take the stairs!!” (So dumb now but we were on top of the world that night lol)

I have had a few of these over the years. A favorite of mine happened when Rutgers first joined the Big East. My buddy and I are seated three rows in front of a judge. All through the game the judge keeps yelling "Watch the hand checking ref! Ref watch the contact. This ain't the NBA...etc." I let it go until the start of the second half, then I stood up and called to him to get his attention. Once I had it I said "Hey judge, you are right this isn't the NBA, it's the Big East. If your girls can't stand a little contact, then they should have stayed in the A-10." Everyone laughed (even though we were at the RAC) and judge laughed waived an acknowledgement to me and clammed up the rest of the way. My buddy, a lawyer, leans over to me and says "Very funny, but now I won't win a motion in front of him for next 6 months."

Well, this one doesn't involve UConn, but it took place at the Hartford Civic Center. The year was 1988 and Hartford had the opening round games of the NCAA Tournament. My buddy and I sat through four games that day/night. For the Indiana- Richmond game we moved down from our nosebleeds and sat among a sea of red sweaters in the Indiana booster section. Of course we VERY vocally cheered for the Spiders and a huge upset. My buddy had a big mouth and loved getting under people's skin. I thought one Indiana fan in particular was going to get physical with us, my buddy had him so worked up. When the game ended with the upset, the Indiana fans were so deflated they left silently, even the guy who was threatening us with violence. One of my best times watching non-UConn basketball!

I vividly remember the first time UNC came to the rent and all of their fans were dressed in shirts and bow ties, many with blazers, argyle sweaters tied around their waists. I was so confused

MSG, March 2014. UConn vs Mich State for a trip to the final four. During a tv timeout, the big screen had a back forth shots of Rip Hamilton and Mateen Cleeves in the stands. Obviously, the UConn fans went nuts for Rip and let Mateen know how we all felt, drowning out the Mich State faithful. Clean. Fun. Epic.

Haha, it's possible. We caused quite a stir with about 1000 people booing us while we ran up and down the aisle of their student section doing UConn chants.

A few years ago at the Barclays, I think the beginning of our last championship season UConn played Maryland . Tyler Olander hit a game winning jump shot somehow...but anyway, throughout the game UConn was the better team but played lackadaisical..and I kept yelling "C'mon UConn, don't get overconfident" and "Don't get too comfortable" clearly to annoy the Maryland fans in my section by downplaying the strength of their program. Needless to say, it worked and I received many dirty looks, a few retaliatory remarks and an "F'in A-----" from a pretty hot maryland fan.

Was at the Garden a few years ago for the UConn Maryland game, sitting pretty far up in the nosebleeds. A MD fan and a UConn fan had been jawing back and forth at each other all night - the only thing separating the rows they were sitting in were the stairs down to the concourse. At some point the MD fan stands up, yells one final thing, hocks a nice lugee at the UConn fan and charges him. The ensuing brawl was broken up, but not before the UConn fan and his associates were dragged off. The MD fan thought he'd gotten away with it, as he'd snuck out of the fracas and weaseled back to his seat without being tossed. The security at MSG, however, must have gone to the video and checked out the incident, as five minutes later they stormed back en masse and wrenched the clown out of his seat. My girlfriend at the time was bored to tears by the game but enthralled by the action off the court. Bad sign
