They are very high on Sio Moore and Trevardo Williams.
Then mentioned Blidi Wreh-Wilson and Dwayne Gratz, and even said "...and Kendall Reyes had a really good rookie year for the Chargers last year."

No need to go looking for it. They just mentioned Trevardo's speed, Sio's athleticism, the 2 backs and Reyes, and ended it with, "How did UConn give up any points?" McShay, "I don't know, great question."

If they had any insight in to college football teams and what happened on the field, they would know the answer already. The fact that they are clueless should tell you something

We didn't have the talent to compete with Syracuse or Rutgers, don't they know?

I know I sound like a broken record, but last season's defense was very good. National level very good.

And these....................coaches.....................couldn't figure out how to win 7-9 games and get the kids to a bowl. You had to be a nuclear scientist to figure out what we were trying to do on offense. When all we needed to do was establish a decent running game to set up play action and much of it could have gone to our two excellent TEs. It absolutely infuriates me to think about it.

That these guys are ripping up the NFL combine just further proves the point.

Out of curiosity, how many of our offensive playmakers were invited to the NFL Combine? Or made first-time all-BE, which, honestly, is a pretty low metric?

It's hard to win games when you can't score points.

That's the point, with that defense and schedule we didn't need an explosive and talented offense. We simply needed a competent running game to set up some play action. Instead, we had all this craziness with the wildcat, zone blocking schemes, a tiny workhorse RB and a complete inability to move the ball. GDL was incompetent and the fact that he is still the OL coach scares me to death,

I still haven't seen any proof that our OL problems are scheme- and not personnel-based. Just speculation presented as fact.

No one knows about personnel because the scheme was so bad. 7-9 step drops for your QB is going to get him killed by edge rushers. All DEs needed to do was run upfield unabated. Whitmer didn't have a chance. They never heard of 3 step drops. They'd rather roll out than step up into the pocket. The centers and guards were giving 3 seconds in there and protecting the pocket, but Whitmer was running around like a chicken with his head cut off trying to elude rushers 10 yards in the backfield. So we don't even know how good the tackles are. We have no idea.

How about mr. Deleones stabke and consistent record of terribke D1 offenses that feature worst-in-the-nation rushing offenses?

Thats about as solid scheme-fail evidence you could get

To my eye, we abandoned completely the aggressive run blocking that had been so successful for us. We could not run the ball. Then defenses tee'd off on their pass rush.

Somebody painted over George's wallpaper when he was taking a nap and the entire offensive plan was lost.

Didn't UCONN lose 3 O-lineman heading into last season? That's usually the kiss of death for an o-line for at least a season, speaking from experience (it was two seasons of crap for us). That exposed your running back, and with no premiere wide out or a QB to make them better or competent play calling, it makes for a mess. Seriously reminds me of RU in 2010.

The talent was there. The wideouts were fine. The QB was the best we've had in eons (well, since 2004).

Don Brown coached the defense with kids that were not his and was successful... George DeLeone coaches the offense and wasn't successful, but lets blame the lack of talent.

Irrelevant. Even an offense comprised of blind paraplegics would have scored more without Pasqualoni and DeLeone coaching.
