HIGH SCHOOL
• A 2016 graduate of Osseo High School, Russell was named a Ms. Minnesota Basketball finalist, a Gatorade Player of the year finalist and was named to the Star Tribune First Team.
• Was named to the AP’s All-State Second Team as a senior and was selected to play in the Minnesota Girls Basketball All-Star Game.
• Was also a McDonald's All-American nominee as a senior in addition to earning American Family Insurance ALL-USA Minnesota Girls Basketball First-Team recognition and All-Conference and All-Metro team honors.
• Led the Northwest Suburban Conference in scoring both her junior and senior seasons and was also paced the conference in steals as a senior.
• Averaged 22.3 points, four steals and four rebounds as a senior in helping lead her squad to a 20-8 record and a spot in the Class 4A, Section 5 semifinals.
• Dropped in more than 30 points five times, including a career-high-tying 33 points.

• Played in 118 games (34 starts).
• Earned Pac-12 All-Defense honorable mention honors as a senior after leading the team and finishing 13th in the Pac-12 in steals per game (1.5 spg). Was also third in assists (2.4 apg) and fourth in rebounds (4.2 rpg).
• Tied for the team lead in steals (1.1 spg) in 2017-18 and was second in assists (3.1 apg/15th in the Pac-12) and assist-to-turnover ratio (2.8/2nd in Pac-12/ninth in the nation).
• Started the first seven games as ASU’s point guard in 2016-17 before a quad injury at the start of December forced her to miss six straight games. Would go on to finish her freshman campaign No. 7 in the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio, tied for third on the team in assists per game (1.8) and fifth in steals (0.9 spg).
• Earned Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention recognition in 2018 and 2019 and was named to the Pac-12 Winter Academic Honor Roll as senior.

Kiara Asia Russell was born on March 30, 1998 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Mother is Leah Hicks. She has three brothers: Anthony Gulyard, Kordell Russell and Kendall Russell. She earned a B.S. Degree in Sociology. Enjoys hanging out with friends, watching Netflix.
