The little glitch at 1:05 is very revealing... and promising. She says she hopes she can "perform and
lead" [this is what she begins to say] and then backtracks to shift to "help this team" win another NC. This is the sign of a smart, canny player.
It says a lot about her that she knows how to lead a team and she thinks of herself that way. And she did plenty of it at Princeton, especially in some tough, high pressure games. I imagine this is exactly why Geno recruited her in the first place. He likes leaders, the more the better.
And she also seems to have a strong sense that her leadership may look a little different in Storrs. She'll lead by being a bucket-getter at times, but also by making the right pass or steal or rebound, and this may take some of the pressure off Paige. She is a better scorer than Nika was, and if she can become the passer and defender Nika was, the backcourt will be dynamite.
