Nope. Given the context of the game, Hildago's turnovers do not bother me. As for the coaches playing players an even amount of minutes, it is never easy. I thought overall the West coaching staff did pretty good trying to balance the minutes but in these types of games, if is never easy.So Hildago's 7 turnovers doesn't bother you? Although I did notice 8 steals, so that's impressive.
The coachs were supposed to play their players an even amount of minutes. They were not very successful.
She's going to fit in perfectly in a long line of South Carolina shooting guardsFulwiley was insanely hot in the first half, making 3 or 4 bombs from 5' beyond the arc and a couple of lightening quick drives to the basket. In the second half, she chucked up several bricks. She's probably not as good as she looked early on and not as bad as she looked after halftime.
Ashlynn belongs. Believe me.KK looks like she belongs, Ashlynn isn’t standing out (a bit slower than I expected - think Nika or CD)
I think Dawn will instill some discipline in Fulwiley's game.People joke about Fulwiley but, like any player, if they work on their craft and listen to the coaching staff and can blend their talents with their teammates, good things can happen. I like Fulwiley. She is athletic as heck! Put in the work over the summer on her craft and South Carolina could be scary again next year.
She will love playing at UCLA then. She’s an incredible talent, doesn’t seem to enjoy passing however.
I think they do, but truthfully it’s an all star game. I enjoyed the highlights… some very talented ladies coming into the college game. The Huskies have a great class coming in, but it’s a very good pick up game with uniforms with a highlight of these ladies talents.Do the kids know they're allowed to pass?
I saw her play for Noblesville in group IV state championship game last year ( she won ). She took over the game ( put it on herAshlynn belongs. Believe me.
I have some concern about the height of the two guards coming in next year ( reported at 5'9" ). I know that KK has speed like a rocket so her pace may offset any height disadvantages. But I wager the next development in women's college BB will be the " magic Johnson" type guard. Imagine if Edwards were a guard and could move and shoot like Paige? We now, routinely, have 6'4"- 6'7" BIGS ( not to mention The " Griner " days at Baylor (6'8"). Why not 6'3'- 6'4" guards?I like the taller guards in todays game and like them to be able to score. Right now UCONN has great size at guard and a couple incredible scorers. The biggest issue with UCONN guard play is that they haven't been on the court too much. Any guard that is 5'8 or smaller needs to be super quick and a legit scorer otherwise she will be on the team never to see the court again.
Because women are generally shorter than men, when young girls begin playing, anyone with height is almost automatically put in the post. It is much more rare for a 6’4 girl, who is going to be the tallest player on the court, to be given guard duties. So the taller girls are developed differently. Young men are often surrounded by height and often grow taller a bit later meaning many fairly tall boys start out in guard slots and grow into bigger guards.I have some concern about the height of the two guards coming in next year ( reported at 5'9" ). In time it may happen. There was a time when a 6'4" male would be considered tall, in high school and college, and always played in the post. I had a cousin who was 6'4" and played center for Missouri in 1956. Then along comes Magic and Bird and the start of the big guards. I believe the women's game will eventually get to that point where taller guards will be the norm. As for now, Amoore, Fudd, Muhl and the star guard for LSU are under six feet and they are outstanding players. UConn's incoming guards will be an asset, not a hinderance.I have some concern about the height of the two guards coming in next year ( reported at 5'9" ). Meant to respond earlier. She was shot several times. Here is a good article about it.What happened to USC's recruit?
