McD AA Game Happened Last Night

Two things I thought were cool to watch when I was 11: the Little League World Series and the McDonald's game. I don't think I've seen a second of either one since then.

I watched Jason Crowe play a little bit in high school. The definition of a volume scorer. Tailor made for all-star games.
I'm with you.

Only saw some clips - was generally unimpressed with this group. The played to their rep.

Next year is going to look a lot different than this year.

BTW, is that Bill Murray shot pre-Luke?

Absolutely loved the LLWS... I'm only sorta interested in McD game if there are UConn guys. And even then, I can't remember the last time I watched one.

Jason Crowe might be Brandon Jennings 2.0.

He didn’t play in college so I don’t know what that means for Missouri. But I don’t expect much from him in the NBA either outside of an off the bench scorer.

Of the California guys I've seen, I liked Collins the most. I've seen Brandon McCoy play a bunch, both at Bosco and Sierra Canyon and have never once come away impressed. So based on my track record he'll probably be NPOY next year. Stokes I'm kind of meh on.

Being older definitely plays a major part but also there really isn't any intrigue about these guys anymore now that they're all over social media/youtube and you have hours of footage out there. The first McDAA game I watched was with Garnett, Pierce, Marbury, etc and all you had were magazine/newspaper articles detailing how special they were so the McDAA and Magic Johnson Roundball Classic was the first time you really got to see these guys if they weren't local to you.

Absolutely amazed at how few of these kids pick the best program in college basketball and how few have us in their final 10, nevermind final three. We should be like the Women's program and basically taking who we want.

I don't think that's how it works on the men's side - courted with $$.

That's me, dude. Not a bowling fan?

Game is a total nothing burger nowadays.

Your recruiting is primarily based on $$$, Hurley is one of the few coaches who can still score top talent without paying the most. Unfortunately, $$$ has become the biggest factor in recruiting for most players.
