In carries at 175. Also quietly is number 2 in the BE and 18th in the nation with 705 yards. But, 183rd in yards per carry with 4.0. Sigh...

He's a redshirt frosh.. Don't think he'll get much bigger... How much stronger can the kid get?

I hope the kid has a cold-tub in his dorm - he needs it.

If he can just hold up for another season and then share the load with MONTRELL DOBBS, who's been a BEEEAAAAST at Milford all season, then add in DJ and Fox...we could have the backfield playmakers to make DeLeone's offense really go.

But he needs help, badly...

JJL should be getting 5+ carries a game, and more snaps in pass protection

Really a solid season for McCombs. During camp almost all of the talk at RB was Shoemate and JJL, McCombs has really broken through. He will get significantly stronger.

The kid is having a solid year, and taking punishment week in and week out. As has been the case in years past, everybody knows he's getting the rock, but at least years ago Dixon could spell Brown, and Frey could spell Todman for a couple of series a game. Not the case this year. Good for Lyle. He also seems to be improving (vision, and keeping his feet) every week.

Yes he should - any reason he is not ??

JJL actually has less experience running the ball than McCombs does. I have a feeling he might just be way too raw to give any more PT to, because I can't imagine why else we'd run McCombs so hard. I'll be interested to see how much PT Hyppolite might get now that he is healthy.

Hardly see why that is a "dumb" post. Not likely that McCombs gets much bigger.

Todman is an inch or two taller and played over 180 LBs as a true frosh.

For the record, I think McCombs did a hell of a job running between the tackles against USF. But, it is very hard to see him at anywhere near 190 LBs given his body.

Says the person who didn't notice the amount of strength/weight Todman put on in that same time period...
