Per Jim Fuller (Linkster had this link in today's news)
This is great news for Maya, and IMO not surprising at all as far as next season is concerned. But signing a 3-year deal has got to be very nice given the current economic uncertainties in most of Europe by comparison.
Maya was reportedly making mid six-figures in her first season (we know Cambage pulled down around $400K, so I had guessed Maya was in the $500K-$600K range.) The fact that she is now the Invincible Queen over there (p.s. the sportswriters also talk about her looks: "And so beautiful, too...not fair!") and the fact they went ahead and offered her 3 years tells me she will be making some SUBSTANTIAL dineros, dollars, yuan, whatever you wanna call it...! The big names over in Europe still pull down a cool $million (think DT, CP3, etc.). Perhaps Maya is now in that league as well.
The power of her celebrity over there is really growing by leaps and bounds. Her tie-in with the Jordan brand has got to be a big additional factor in the negotiations, and what's more, per Jim's linked article, the Shanxi team owner is apparently trying to get Lynx games and other WNBA games shown over in China:
I could not be happier for the professional and financial success of Miss Maya A. Moore. Could it happen to a better person? I think not.

"[Shanxi owner] also mentioned he is trying to persuade local Shanxi television to show WNBA, specifically Minnesota Lynx, games during the summer."
