Maya Featured in SI (you might recognize the writer)

Tina Charles, herself now an accomplished filmmaker, brings an artist's touch to this beautiful tribute.

How lucky we were as UConn fans to see those two play together, and even luckier to see what outstanding lives they've created.

Tina is chronologically older than Maya, but she says she has always looked up to Maya as an older sister. Maya has always been mature beyond her years.

I love both Tina and Maya.

I’m not a particularly religious person, but I do admire people who feel that calling to make true, good change in the world in the name of their faith.

Maya is not only an amazing ambassador for the game and the organizations she’s played with, but, IMO, a role model for the kind of Christian the world could use more of.

Beautiful soul. Beautiful story.
