Mau

Here I assumed @mauconnfan had died or something. Even post explanation I thought he might be one if the idiots playing. Nope.

Shenny has some really good holes, #10 especially

10 used to be a good hole as a par 5, but now that it's a par 4, not so much. Unless they have redone that green recently, it was not designed to receive 150-200 yd approach shots, it was designed for like 80-130 yd approaches.

You guys have any suggestions on where to buy a new set of clubs?

Golfer’s warehouse will let you play them for 90 days and return so I bought calloways last year.

If you wanna drop a little more coin hit Chris Cote in Portland and get the fitting. They will let you demo stuff for like a week too.

Depends on your expectations and where you are in your game. Let me and others know there are way too many deals to just "buy"!!

Players golfing at 22 degrees F. If I can understand it ...

It’s crazy. Although I went out for 9 in late November and it was 29-30. Ice forming on the ponds. I think we thought it was going to be warmer.

Don’t buy new. You can buy very good used clubs.

Yep you can I agree. If you want new though you can still go low on line. Depends if you need to get fitted and all of that. I buy on line never got fitted once. (maybe that's the problem?lol)

Always considered it the signature hole on the old course as hole #13. Way back in the day it was originally a par 3. When they made it a par 5 it was still trapped appropriately. When they made it a par 4 they had to remove mthe trap directly in front of the green. The membership complained it was too tough as they are generally getting old. I think this is why among other things like league play, removing fairway bunkers and keeping the fescue down to speed up play were the reasons to turn it into a muni. Old #s 8,9,10 were really "out" and you really played "in" to #18. The last 6 holes on the old course were a good bunch of finishing holes.
They screwed with too much of Ross' work. Lost quite a few mature greens.

65 today in Columbia Missouri. A bit wet out there but not too shabby. Marmet didn’t see his shadow.
