Good for him. D1 coaching is a grind, and wondering if you ever really have "time off". If you no longer have the passion and commitment for the job, then it's wise to step away. You wonder if there will ever be a coaching class of longevity such as Geno, Tara, Pat, etc.
 
I think all of us with demanding jobs can relate to him. In my case, though, I thankfully don't have to travel. In the business world, you often see people check out when they no longer have the drive to do the job. Coaching is no different.
