Matt Moore to start game 1 at Texas

Maddon goes to the 22 year old rookie. It will be his 4th MLB game. In 9.1 innings of work, Moore has struck out 15 batters while walking just three. He has K'ed 13-14 per nine in AA, AAA and now the majors in a very small sample size. This is a great gamble by Maddon.

Nice. Now it makes sense why he wasn't put in the game on Wednesday night. Maddon knew the Yanks were going to throw thoise gopher balls and thus could save the kid for Friday.
