Matt has grown into a very good relief pitcher. Until last night, he ERA was in the low 2's. I think he could handle the 8 th inning role and could close in times where Kimbrel is not available.

Hope not. Sox pen needs another arm in high leverage situations.

I'm hoping for 3 things.
1. Thornburg continues to shake off the rust and can give us some quality relief by September and October
2. Durbin Feltman is as good or better than advertised and is able to add value at the major league level this year
3. They pick up an arm at the trade deadline.
Any one of these would be good and 2 out of 3 would be great.
