Portal opens in 3 weeks - will be an interesting ride. Gonna keep a keen eye on what Pitino is doing, and really curious to see what happens with the UNM kid and Drake kid, who look like the top two mid major player this year (if you don’t include Memphis).

I was watching the Drake OT game today, and while not familiar with Stirtz, kept telling myself that kid would be a good fit in Husky Blue. Kid has a motor and is everywhere. Drives effectively, decent D, rebounds, takes charge.

I may be wrong on this but it seems like UConn showed some interest in Stirtz prior to his Drake announcement. Might have been just how dominos fell with our other portal targets that year.

Agreed... Able is a highly rated player but he seems like a carbon copy of the three other 6-5 ish 2/3's we have coming in.

Don’t know much about these guys but could Able and or Adams play the point? Dan definitely wants to get bigger on the perimeter

Adams will play some point minutes for us in his career. But we need a big portal guard first.

We can’t consistently spell our own players’names right, including a 2 time national champion starting point guard who was also a first team All American, so forget about spelling a guy’s name who hasn’t played for UConn.

Honestly, who cares? If we are going all in for an experienced PG that should tell you all you need to know.

OK. I just watched some Stirtz highlights. Looks a little like Cam. My one concern is the level of competition. He may be athletic and savvy enough to handle the athleticism of the competition in the MVC. But how will he look when he moves up? He as more size than Mahaney, but I bet Mahaney would have a really nice highlights reel if he played the season in the MVC rather than the Big East.
