Mat Peart is NOT a project

What surprised me is that he looked huge compared to the other linemen. On his worst play he was bull rushed back into the QB. However the QB threw a TD pass on the play so he did his job.

Noticed that too. Bigger than the other offensive linemen! Solid!

As long as his strength and footwork keep improving, he could become a fixture on the G-men for years to come. Don’t be surprised if he’s named a captain.

That was a legit test yesterday for him... The Washington front 4 is legit even though they're not very good otherwise...

Defensively Washington is pretty good, offensively they're kinda miserable

Slightly off topic, but great to see “skins” utilizing Isaiah Wright a bit - CT kid doing well

Matt has always been better at run blocking. Remember he finished his career here at RT. Yesterday he looked pretty good at LT with no preseason reps. The bull rush during pass pro is his biggest liability. Being so tall it leaves him in jeopardy in that situation and getting a bit lower is the solution.

This guy gushing about Matt being a starter around 5:40 in. Also very many comments from fans saying the same. A tip of The UConn Cap to Matt.

If Peart starts over Thomas I gotta hope Thomas can shift to the other side of the line. The Giants are so horrible that they need all the help they can get. If Peart ends up the starter, it's gonna stink that the Giants didn't grab a defensive playmaker in the first round at pick 3. However, there's no way they'd know they'd get Peart and they need O-Line help.

Here's to hoping both can be solid contributors on that line for years to come. Saquan and Jones need it.

Did he play last night? Thankfully, Thomas kept my birds in it with his horrific performance
