Maryland Not So Great Tonight

I just got back from the USF vs Maryland game. Maryland won 78-70. They never could shake the Bulls. Alyssa Thomas, who I was looking forward to watching play, had four fouls, also her number of points. Inga Orekhova and Akila McDonald, USF's two seniors, had a combined 5 points. Laurin Mincy looked great, but their best player was Tierney Pfirman. She'll be Morgan's responsibility. I know that Maryland will play much better against UConn; however, this was a Bulls team with no Smith sisters, almost no contribution whatsoever from their two seniors and a roster of 16 that includes four so. and 8 fr. If they don't play a lot better, it won't be close.

At least they performed better than an anemic Tennessee team. Well, barely. I wonder if USF is better than MTSU or vice versa...

I think USF is a very interesting program - Fernandez is doing good things there, so yes ... I think they are better than MTSU and I expect them to be NCAA bound for years to come.
