According to documents obtained Tuesday from the Maryland attorney general's office, athletic officials from Wake Forest and Pittsburgh tried to recruit at least two Big Ten schools to the ACC.

Yeah, like any B1G school is going to leave the B1G for the ACC.

Actually, from what I understand, Pitt thought it had been able to lure the Indiana and Northwestern programs over to the ACC. Turned out though when the school reps showed up with their Crimson Hawk and Demon banners, the Panthers realized they'd pulled in Indiana (PA) and Northwestern St. of Louisiana. They were a little embarrassed about it all, but the Crimson Hawk football team finished 9-2 on its D2 slate and might not be such a bad fit over in the ACC.
