Just saw their score against Iowa and their down by 30 with an 11-12 record, 3-9 in conference play. W t h happened to Maryland this season. By all indications they had a great off season with the Fatts and Wahab additions. That’s shocked me a little bit as I haven’t been following them.

Canned their coach after first month or so, rudderless ship.

Wahab left Georgetown for this. His team is almost as bad as the team he left. His numbers went down, averaging 8.7 Points and 6 rebounds. Not looking good for next level. Did much better under Ewing. Maybe he should have stayed. Add Wahab to current Gtown roster and they are better than Maryland.

What you said @MJ1, here is a transfer decision gone wrong for both sides. Too bad for Pat Ewing. Should not continue to go this way for such a G-town and even more importantly for many of us, a Knick legend. Would have been great for Gtown, The Big East, and College basketball had it worked out. A guy like Cooley though would turn them into a perennial final 16 program once again, though it would gut Providence for years, unless they were to respond with a Pitino hire, bringing him in with a reunion/revival coming home theme.

Cooley going to GTown does nothing for the conference. Unless PC hit a hr hire.

Cooley is a Providence guy, unless Georgetown throws BAGS at him he isn’t going anywhere.

Ed Cooley has won 1 NCAA tournament game TOTAL in 15 Years as a Head Coach, yet by moving to Georgetown he would be in the Sweet Sixteen perennially? Nice take.
