Indiana really needs this win. One of the bigger surprises of the "reveal" to me was that Indiana was left out of a hosting spot, even though their resume in objective terms is clearly one of the top 16. I guess the committee was penalizing them for either their strong OOC schedule or for having no bad losses

Usually the NCAA is pretty consistent with how they seed teams. They missed the ball on Indiana with their reveal.

To me it's stunning how badly they dropped the ball on this one.

Indiana was left out, despite having:

• A win on a neutral court over the overall #1 team
• No losses to teams outside the top 16

Mississippi State was put at #10, despite having:

• Best wins over a borderline top 25 team and a bubble team
• A loss to a bubble team

I could do a similar comparison to #13 Arizona, who played an awful OOC. Yes they have the huge win at home over UCLA -- but that's still nowhere near as good as beating the overall #1 on a neutral court. SMH

Yes, Maryland has a lot to do w/ how Indiana struggled this quarter.

Hoosiers got back to back buckets, but then Maryland hit a 3 to close out the scoring in the quarter. 58-49.

Brutal loss by Indiana. They coughed up a huge run in the 3rd quarter and could never recover. Poor free throw shooting (13 of 21) was an achilles heel.
