MCW is great against CCSU and Monmouth.
This. It cracked me up how, during our game against Cuse, ESPN had a stat showing how he averaged 9+ assists for their first 12 games, then 5 or so since. The announcer went on to say "Clearly, James Southerland's absence has had a huge affect on MCW."
Is ESPN really that dumb?
It's pretty commical that those losers predicted we would be awful this year and fade into irrelevance. Well, they now have the same amount of losses in the Big East as us.
Is there a bigger waste of talent than Southerland? The dude is 6-8 and athletic, and 11 of his 13 shot attempts were 3's.
I guess it must be a coaching problem then. But, wait, our two best players would be walk-ons at Syracuse!
I guess it must be a coaching problem then.
And of course the Cuse fans remain delusional.
This from the Cuse board:
"Okay, so, six losses.
• Each loss has been to a team with inferior personnel"
If you go by high school ranking, probably true:
Triche: no rank
Southerland: PG, no rank
Fair: #63 in class
Keita: no rank
MCW: McDAA, #21 in class
Christmas: McDAA, #20 in class
Cooney:#65 in class (how the hell was he ranked ahead of Boatright?)
Coleman: McDAA, #14 in class
Grant: #37 in class
Not many teams can look that bad down low with two McDAA centers.
I know I said after we beat them then they had some gruck (grit and pluck) and that they'd win a game or two before the year is out.
I know it seems crazy, but I still stand by that comment. The key when you're a grucky team is that you generally give yourself a chance every night out. That's all you can ask. One day, the bounces will go your way.

Also, for people who thought somes of us can be too harsh on our players after a loss, go check out their borad....
And who would've guessed it? Boeheim was a bit grumpy after the game.

I think the mumu was a burger as well.I believe their current team has as many McD's AA guys as UConn has had in the last six seasons combined. Someone, please check my math. Kemba, Rudy, Charlie, right? Drummond was a weird case, granted, but still...
