Nice game for both AK and Samson. When Samson stole the ball and dribbled the length of the court for the hoop, I first thought it was Diarra since he handled the ball so well. Samson intends to be part of the rest of the journey. Man, that Kam is automatic in the paint.

Karaban and Johnson Balled out. Diarra gutsy and Stewart playing with great energy and defense. What a win. McNeeley looks slow. Maybe not 100%. He is getting beat easily and can't separate on offense. If he can't shoot I rather Stewart get more of his minutes. Mahaney yikes is not a PG but I guess we have no choice.

Johnson’s D on the 1-5 switching was disruptive. Had some really great possessions tonight on that end of the court. Marquette is a great matchup for him because Gold is so soft and not a threat to bully Samson in the paint at all.

I know there’s been a lot of talk about Reed replacing Johnson, but where would UConn have been today without Samson Johnson? Diarra is definitely a warrior!

KARABAN!!! Dagger clutch 3! So nice to have AK back.

I will once again make my argument that all games should be played at Gampel. The building looked like a true home court advantage!

Johnson is valuable in some matchups and Reed is inconsistent. It is great to have to good centers. Johnson with 11 rebounds to shut down the haters. He was huge keep us alive and that steal and dunk got us going in the second half.

Samson was outstanding.
Defense was great except for Kam Jones. Nobody can guard him.
Very solid minutes from Aidan giving Hass a breather.
Which reminds me, Hass was great.
And then there was AK who was great all game and then...I mean just friggin sealed it.

I said in the chat with 11:22 left this game is going to show what this team is made of and this is going to be AK's game. Think I nailed it for once.

Missed in the Karaban shot was a really good decision from Reed. He could have tried to force something, but he saw the defender drop and made the right play.

This is why they both play - neither are consistently great but both provide different types of potential jolts.

Solo didn't have his best, thought he got the TNew treatment at the rim a couple times. But I'll tell you what...he's starting to play better def and he had a tenacity to him tonight. He's gotta learn to be more than a finesse player, he took a step today.

Yeah I wonder if his ankle is bothering him. 4-18 and couldn't play a lick of D and couldn't get any separation on offense. He was awful unfortunately besides his 3s.

He played much better D but I was impressed most by him diving on the floor tonight TWICE for loose balls. We’ve been missing that all year.

I am certain he will do well. It sure was great to see him hit a dagger three. The world seems right when Alex is looking for and hitting big shots.
