Markus Howard most Big East points all time

Heard he was close on the broadcast tonight, had no clue. Kid just gets buckets, undersized guard at that too... glad we won’t have to play him next season.

I think we are always going to go back and forth with the records when it comes to “Old Big East” vs “New Big East”, but that is still a lot of points for Markus Howard. It is nice to go back to a conference and get our records back though.

I was thinking Shabazz would be up there. Turns out he had 962.

I would not have guessed Chris Smith as UConn’s all time scoring leader.

You’d be even more surprised by where Christian Vital is on this list. Hamilton, Walker, Allen and Gordon would all have more if they played four years.

@Zissou do you know Howard's career numbers to date?

You all missed Doug McDermott as a conference foe. He finished his career in the Big East. If he had all 4 years in the conference...

Christian Vital isn’t #1?? I’m confused

Howard too, that's why he came back this year. ;)
Well, the Hauser brothers would have gone a long way in having the depth to contend this year. I don't think they liked Howard's attempts per game.

Too bad Wes didn't have a 3pt line.

if anyone didnt deserve an eligibility waiver it was them. Marquette would be neck and neck with Seton Hall in the BE and a Final 4 contender if they stayed. but noooooo, they couldnt stomach the thought of Howard getting all the glory.

Interesting that there isn't a large amount of NBA talent on that list!

It is interesting/weird but when you think about it a lot of the best players in league history are big men Ewing, Mourning, Mutombo, Coleman, Okafor, Charles Smith, Thorpe, Seikaly and bigs just don't score as much. Then you have the stud guards/swingmen who left early Iverson, Ray Allen, Carmelo, Rip, Kemba, Caron, Ben, Billy Owens etc.
