They do have a center already, another euro. I find it a really weird roster for a NY based team - squads are usually made of gritty ballers. After missing on Diop I assume SJU is going all in on this guy. If we got Luigi I would be more surprised than if I woke up with my head sewn to the carpet or whatever Clark Griswold said
Morris Park, Throggs Neck, and Country Club are the last holdouts in the Bronx and they are fading fast.I am not aware of any Italians in Queens. Staten Island yes, and Brooklyn yes, but not like it once was. In the Bronx there are a few within a block or 2 of Arthur Avenue.
If we get him on campus , you’d have to think Geno would definitely help in his recruitment. I can already picture it, a little reminiscing in Italian, an espresso, maybe a nice homemade Italian dinner hard to beat that kind of pitch. Storrs and the surrounding area is low key and has that Italian feel too, so it all kind of fits.If that's who it is, I bet Geno could really help in his recruitment.
Duke is trying to add a Euro 7 footer, he would be their 4th 6'11 plus guy and three of them are starting level. They also have a bunch of starting level point guards.Putting aside the St John's desperation factor, and the NBA draft factor, are we supposed to assume Najai Hines is OK coming off the bench?

Remember, the answer to everything on this board is “double bigs”Putting aside the St John's desperation factor, and the NBA draft factor, are we supposed to assume Najai Hines is OK coming off the bench?
They figured out Jokic has eligibility? No. He says he's talking about someone who would be a major gamechanger, who could start, who is really tall, who would only play in a certain part of the country for maketing/NIL who St. John's is also looking at. Nova and St. John's are both trying to get Luigi Suigo, that has to be who he's talking about. The Northeast is where the Italians are, he's really tall, and he's a gamechanger type of talent.
I will bring him my famous meatballs, that would work better than Capital Grille.Thats my bet. If it is him im guessing he ends up at St Johns. NYC has a big Italian community. Storrs, not so much.
Wait. What!? Whitestone, Howard Beach, Ozone Park and Middle Village would like a word. I’d say part of Astoria too. There are many more identifiably Italian areas in Queens than there are in the Bronx.I am not aware of any Italians in Queens. Staten Island yes, and Brooklyn yes, but not like it once was. In the Bronx there are a few within a block or 2 of Arthur Avenue.
Duke has endless amounts of NIL it appears. Not only did they bring back two guys contemplating the draft, they held onto a 4th year kid, brought in 3 McD AA's, and a top 4*. Then they brought in a top 3 portal kid, and a big from Belmont.Duke is trying to add a Euro 7 footer, he would be their 4th 6'11 plus guy and three of them are starting level. They also have a bunch of starting level point guards.
I have no idea how serious we are with him or even if Zanetto is right but we're the only fanbase out of the top programs who stresses about being too talented/bulletproof.
And a bunch of Brazilians and PeruviansIn the 50 states Connecticut has the highest Italian population per capita, by far the highest Puerto Rican population per capita, and the highest Jamaican population per capita.
Danbury! And a bunch of Brazilians and Peruvians
He will be his own undertaker.I am so friggin sick of Pitino. How old IS that sleazebag?
Don’t forget the Portuguese!!And a bunch of Brazilians and Peruvians
Yes, every year we have posters worrying about us having too many good players who need playing time and who will start.Stresses about being too bullet proof?
MA has the highest concentration of Brazilians, namely between Worcester and Framingham, I’ve come to learn. And a bunch of Brazilians and Peruvians
Well doneConnecticut has the most Italians per capita in the United States and the best pizza. New York has the 5th most Italians per capita in the US and overrated pizza. Nova has The Pope.
I could see those turds running things like The Skulls. I.e. when you sign each pro contact, 10% goes straight to the “brotherhood” NIL fund.Duke has endless amounts of NIL it appears.
Ahhhh... but give him a running start and he can jump remarkably high.I thought I saw him in video game and movie the other day and he didn't look all that tall to me. If we don't land him maybe he has a brother named Mario that we can get. Sorry, I couldn't resist😁
Or posters saying it's an incomplete roster because Khamenia's wingspan is an inch short.Yes, every year we have posters worrying about us having too many good players who need playing time and who will start.
This year has been nuts - it's a full on spending spree. Maybe the donors are over-reacting to the Shot. Now that UConn is on the schedule, I wonder if they pony up for another portal stud for the rematch.I could see those turds running things like The Skulls. I.e. when you sign each pro contact, 10% goes straight to the “brotherhood” NIL fund.
So true. I have seen it for years on here. People stress about playing time allocation and who is going to be unhappy about it like they are the head coach. Other programs are stacking talent 3 deep at each position while people here are stressing a backup 4 man for us because we have never had a "10 man rotation." It's lunacy.Duke is trying to add a Euro 7 footer, he would be their 4th 6'11 plus guy and three of them are starting level. They also have a bunch of starting level point guards.
I have no idea how serious we are with him or even if Zanetto is right but we're the only fanbase out of the top programs who stresses about being too talented/bulletproof.
Hines at the 4!Remember, the answer to everything on this board is “double bigs”
I would love for us to get longer down low. I see us as a top 5 team as of now. The idea of us getting a bulletproof type roster is something that would make me ecstatic and I would never question it.Or posters saying it's an incomplete roster because Khamenia's wingspan is an inch short.
Tony Patoni. From Bari, Italy.Agree and made it sound like they would challenge at starting at the 5
I was looking at Diop and Thiam's defensive numbers to Hines - not even close. Your 5 has to have some kind of advantage, length is one, explosive power is another. Hines is probably the best in the country in the explosive department.I would love for us to get longer down low. I see us as a top 5 team as of now. The idea of us getting a bulletproof type roster is something that would make me ecstatic and I would never question it.
