Marisa Announces New Staff at BU

She adds 2 assistant coaches, including Kate Barnosky from Carla's staff at Tufts. Another assistant will be Darren Bennett who was a former assistant coach at Michigan State, Syracuse and Temple and head coach at Skidmore. Finally, she brings a little UConn with her. Former GA Mitchell Simmons will join her team as director of basketball operations. Simmons was head student manager for UConn the past two seasons and was a student manager throughout his four years in Storrs. According to the release, while at UConn Simmons "managed all aspects of practice and game day responsibilities, both home and away, and supervised a staff of over 11 other student managers." He also launched UConn's social media platforms.
