Mardi Gras Game Day Haiku | The Boneyard

Mardi Gras Game Day Haiku

So how does this work?

I write a clever haiku

and the Huskies win?

It stokes the mojo
To write a proper haiku
This is a good start

Notes for the newbies:
Count syllables in each line
Five, seven, then five

It's very simple
And it's very powerful
It makes us a team

Coaches, players, fans
Each of us getting better
We each do our job

One game at a time
Improving our seeding, and
Back to the big dance

Do we pronounce "@"
When we are tagging someone?
If so, please remove "I"

I don't pronounce it
it just serves to link to him
quoting is better

What a mojo mess

If I see it, then
I subvocalize it, or
I say it aloud

That guides me re "@"
And more so with the Fri word
Your mileage varies

Ambiguity
Is disruptive to haiku
One man's opinion

Gotta step away
I've made my opinions known
Someone else can count
