March Madness Round 1 Thread

He couldn’t give the kids a 5 minute break at some point? I know Siena had a ton of injuries but hard for your kids to beat a team like Duke with no legs for the last 5-10 minutes.
I don't think he had any guys who could've given them minutes

if that Nebraska crowd was like that today I can't imagine what it's going to sound like on Saturday

McNamara blew it. He should have gotten them a few minutes on the bench throughout the game. Sub right before TV timeouts. 60 seconds of game time on the bench can be 5 minutes of real time on the bench. Not rocket science.

Too bad Siena has no depth at all. Those kids were gassed. Gave it all they had though. It was a lot of fun rooting for them and Duke to lose.

So does this mean that Duke is severely compromised without 2 starters? I hope so! I'm a huge TCU fan on Saturday!

Funny that we met a couple in Aruba 2 weeks ago whose daughter is at TCU. We discussed a little TCU athletics and all they could talk about was the football team. They said their daughter goes to all the games even though she's not that into sports. I said, "Isn't the basketball team pretty good this year?" They said they had no idea. I wonder if most of the campus would say the same thing.

Crazy all the UConn rep in these commercials….just saw a new one w Tarasi and Steph

Yeah I saw that earlier, plus lil Dicky - I immediately said to my wife "I will now purchase items at Dick's"

Can Mashburn not afford a sport coat?? He wears the same stupid Members Only jacket every time. Does he need a Go Fund Me campaign??

Yikes, you guys were not lying, 5 players, 40 minutes. Not a single bench minute. Wow, really impressed by this team. Hope they can make it again next year. Duke is not much deeper; just 12 total players saw the floor. Wonder if that is some kind of record.

Yes they are - PN was in a boot today rolling and Scheyer didn't seem too confident. Kid is likely going draft, so guessing they're being really careful. TCU could definitely give them a run. Would be magical if they got knocked out - even with him back, seems like he won't be 100% and he'll have to blend back in. They seem really vulnerable, especially to the 4-5.

Covering all his bases...

Ruff any thoughts? Lol
On HP winning? Didn't see that one coming. Lone upset, so not really much going on there out of 8 games. Last year first round upsets were really just McNeese and Drake as an 11 seed. So trending to be a bit more than last.

Why play the whole game without any subs at all? Recipe for disaster down the stretch. Siena completely ran out of gas.
He is a disciple of Jim Boeheim. His bench was always short. It’s funny to watch the Syracuse fans, losing their minds about McNamara possibly going there as their next coach

But wait…..you said they were invincible

This year will be all chalk……mid majors can’t survive in this day and age of NIL

Yada, yada

In watching the 1st Round so far, I love the freedom of movement. We are going to be able to run our offense and get good shots. Two keys are going to be 3 point percentage and turnovers. If we can keep the turnovers to 10 or under, and shoot somewhere between 35-40%, I like our chances. I really do.
