SMU forgot how to play defense lol. How did this team made it in instead is Seton Hall?
SMU has been awful without BJ Edwards (and may have lied about his injury to even get in), but this was an awful matchup for them against a team who can make 3's. I'm not sure Andy Enfield even knows you're supposed to defend people at the 3 point lineI don’t think I’ve ever seen a team get as many wide open looks from 3 as Miami this game. SMU has looked totally lost defensively.
Miami scorching them from 3 and SMU is still in a zone…makes no sense. They are getting wide open looks every time down

I’ve never watched a single First Four game. I don’t feel like it’s actually March Madness and it’s just a gimmick.
Anyone else feel that way or am I just weird?
The first four made sense for them. Not because they weren’t good enough or deserving but because it helped to beef up what was admittedly a weak schedule going in. This is a national championship tournament, so their path to get there, if they can, should have some challenges added in the tournament because they didn’t already have them during the season.Nice win for Miami, happy they are in their rightful place in the field of 64, even though they should have been there without needing a first four win.
Team's best defender and second best player overall.SMU had no business being here.
They lied about one of their best players being ready for action, which swayed the Committee.
March is beautiful
It may not be a home game but NCAAT crowds usually root for the underdogs. Game in Philly should help.Maybe they can beat Tennessee. But, they won't get to do it in a home game this time.
They’ll likely get some other teams’ fan support but UT travels well and this game was literally 40 miles from Miami’s campus. It’s going to be a VERY different atmosphere. Last night was probably 90+% raucous Miami fans.It may not be a home game but NCAAT crowds usually root for the underdogs. Game in Philly should help.
I think people will tune into it just because their undefeated regular season is such a national headline regardless of how weak their schedule was. Think about it this way: we are fans of a blue blood in UConn that is arguably the best modern college basketball program in the country (post 1984) and we had an entire thread on Miami of Ohio 2 weeks ago. Miami is a mid major school from the MAC that plays to crowds no bigger than 4,000 and that's being generous. Does a thread get started on the BoneYard 2 weeks ago if Miami of Ohio had 2-3 losses in the regular season? We all know the answer to that.Miami OH vs Tennessee will be watched by the masses Friday. Going to be entertaining.
Miami ... quieting the haters for at least a night.
Raftery is absolutely on his game. Amazing at his age
Yeah this team is very enjoyable to watch. Almost shocked from a Dixon team. They are always moving a.ways looking to attack. They gamble on D too.I think Dixon's Pitt teams in the 2000s were more talented, but this TCU squad is more fun to watch as those Pitt teams were usually among the slowest tempo teams in D1, almost always in the 300s on KP.
We have a top 15 3 pt defense. That's a type of team would not want to see vs UConn, just from the 3 volume makes.
