March Madness, 2nd round - Saturday

Down 6 and on back to back possessions to cut it to 4 St Louis missed a layup and then an open midrange jumper, Michigan comes down and knocks down a 3 to push the lead back to 9. You can always see when possessions swing games.
 
St Louis just can’t stop Michigan. Their offense is trying to keep them in it but don’t think it’ll be enough
 
Who can hang with Michigan? They have inside, driving and 3 point shooting.

You play all year, you make the 2nd round of the tournament, and then some arbitrary bullc--- decisions take you out of the game early.

Louisville's best player picked up his second foul just minutes into the game on 2 offensive charging calls.

If you can watch a replay, take a look at those calls.

The first one was a ridiculous horribly bad call on a player who had the bad luck of being guarded by a player he burned who then stumbled.

I think on the first foul, he extended his arm. Whether that contact knocked the player down or not, the arm extension made it look like an offensive foul. I thought the 2nd one was more of a borderline call on the screen.

Yea Hurley is hated, I don't really get UConn is most hated unless you're perpetually stuck in an online echo chamber arguing with St Johns or PC fans
 
First game in awhile I've see is burst and separation actually get better as the game progressed, usually it's the opposite.

I thought it was a natural movement with barely any contact.

God Louisville just throws it up..OMG.....it's unreal. Almost as bad as the slobbering over Izzo who has won 1 national title. Don't get me wrong, he's a good coach, but my god. Can we stop acting like he's won 3 or 4.
 
Ryan Conwell is limping. Louisville is down 8 and if they don’t have Conwell AND Brown healthy then it’s guaranteed over
 
Michigan State let them back in the game. Considering Michigan State shot 46% from the field and 50% from three, and Louisville shot 36% from the field and 22% from three, Michigan State should be blowing them out. Louisville can get red hot from 3, so could be an interesting 2nd half.
 
Jeremy Fears could teach Shai Gilgeous-Alexander a few things about being a foul merchant and boy howdy that's saying something. It's not even that he's sneaky good....it's almost like his entire game is based on fooling the refs.

I don't know where I am with this kid (not that it matters). On the one hand, if he's hurt he's hurt. Then sit out, ask out, whatever-if you're playing at less than 100% you're hurting rather than helping the team. On the other I could easily see this as part of a concerted strategy to keep him healthy in his one NBA mandated purgatory season and the consequence to KU's season are 'Ahhhh, whatever'.

One thing's for sure, solely on the merits KU did not get their NIL's worth out of him. Contrast that with Dybantsa who basically carried BYU the second half of the season. That's why I see AJ as 1/1 in the draft and it's not particularly close. That kid is complete player.

No question we should beat either of these teams ... then again, MSU rebounds and plays tough. Louisville I've thought were jokes all year.
 
Louisville has no post guy and is still breaking down Michigan St at will and getting open shots.

I haven't run into anyone who hates UConn or Hurley.
