Maniac | The Boneyard

Maniac

Just started watching it (episode 3 now) ... it seems a bit strange so far (but will take your word).

What's with those 80'style computers and videos ?

It kind of just throws you into this weird world and asks you to figure it out. It starts getting clearer as the show progresses.

We watched the first 3 episodes and it was so slow it was hard to keep attention. Should we give it another shot? I do realize some shows require a chance to get going. Not in love with the casting though.

I watched it all in two days. The first 6 episodes to start and then the next 4 the day after. I really enjoyed it but it's probably not for everyone

Really want to check this one out. Kinda funny to think Jonah Hill and Emma Stone were in Superbad together 10 years ago now this.

Now starting episode 9 .. It's not as clear yet for me but I guess will know in 2 more.

About five deep. I’m into it but I’m kind of stumped when this is taking place or is it just an alternative vaguely retro-futuristic modern day?

I thought it was 70s-80s but it’s definitely not. One of the other subjects referenced something happening in 1999, Annie is driving a mid-90s Jeep in her crash. Mantleray said he was born in 1977 making him in his early 40s modern day which seems right?

I suppose that’s the least weird thing going on though.
