Man I miss not being at a bowl

The pre-game for all of these bowls just brings back such great memories of anticipation from the four bowls I've been to (skipped Toronto)

From the newness in Detroit to the light rain in Charlotte to freezing my ass off in Birmingham to the huge stage in Glendale.

Just a void this year that hopefully is not repeated next.

Nothing like UConn not making a bowl game to really show me how worthless other bowl games are.

To be honest I would have struggled (emotionally) getting to a bowl game at 6-6.

Between the realignment crap and OCC losses it was a tough year.

I would rather have struggled emotionally to go to St Pete or Birmingham than not go. But it would have been a tough year even if we had beaten either Cincy or LV.

We had a nice little streak going, and its good to get the extra practices.

We also missed going big-time. I agree with BussLaw... but like ZooCougar stated - the most important item missed was all those bowl preparation practices…

I totally agree, sportart. Mindset means a lot with these things. The nice tailgate notwithstanding, last year's bowl never came together for me. Unlike the other three games where I had an awesome time. I couldn't shake the feeling that I had to be on the defensive about my team being there.
