He's the most talented guy in the front-court as well. His lack of minutes last year was criminal negligence.
Diarra had major foul trouble last year. He averaged 9.1 fouls per 40 minutes, which, I think, is the worst foul ratio in recent UConn history. Nolan's worst season was 8.3, Olander's worst season was 5.8, Enoch's worst season was 7.5. He fouled out of 3 straight games in the early season in 17 to 22 minutes.
Plus, he had zero assists last year in 314 minutes. Sure, the UConn offense was not smooth last year, but zero assists?
He was a freshman coming off injury last season, so expectations should have been low. Hopefully, he will be more effective with Hurley.
