Starkes, an explosive 6-4 junior guard, has been dunking on bigger players all year. His aggressiveness and tenacity coupled with a solid jump shot has some big time programs taking a look at him.

“UConn is my main one,” Starkes said about his recruiting. He said he has spoken with new Connecticut coach Kevin Ollie and that is the school he most wants to play at. Starkes also mentioned DePaul as a school that has shown interest in his duties.

Not much here but I Like the athleticism and intensity..

Would like to see a few more jumpers and more handle but certainly an explosive 6'3-6'4 kid................looks like he can D when he wants too!

kid looks pretty well put together for his class and is athletic, have to see more video to get a better read on his skillset tho.

Eh?? 3 things I really like...Intensity (that transfers into good defense), Enthusiasm (lots of smiling/clapping), and pure athleticism. Those three things make a great teammate and fit into the old Uconn toughness mold that I really miss. They spark momentum, big runs and intimidation. Imagine him and Calhoun and Samuel together. That would be a tough lineup to play against. Look at what he already brings. I agree it would be good to see his overall skill set but I have already seen enough that if we offered and he made a commitment I would not be disappointed at all.

I'm not even going to bother to watch the video. Suffice it to say that I am real happy that we are hearing kids say UConn is their #1 preference.

It's not a huge thing, but the showboating and clapping and yelling right in kids' faces after he makes a play is kind of annoying. I feel like every play on the highlight reel, he was that who goes after everyone in a pickup game.

He has enthusiasm for the game I love it! As oppose to Lamb who look liked he was asleep out there. I love Lamb but it's true, he didn't show a lot of enthusiasm. Plus if he is annoying and he gets in people's heads that is a bonus. I just miss the type of intensity guys like Jeff Adrien, Dyson< El-Amin etc brought to Uconn

I'm fine with celebrating after a big play, intensity, competitive fire, etc. It's going after other players in every clip that I can't stand. Like Cortland Innegan in the NFL.
