that can have a very broad meaning. I technically grew up a New England revolution soccer fan but wouldn't care whether they went undefeated or didn't win a game all season. It could easily be something like one of his favorite players is carmelo anthony, so he said that he routed for Syracuse growing up. It doesn't mean that will factor in his decision. I think being put in a position to have success in the NBA will be his top priority by far.
