Malachi was destined for the Orange

I do remember that video of Kaleb Joseph, and he had a coach that sounded like Boeheim on speaker phone. Boeheim was telling him that their last three point guards were lottery picks, and he wanted Joseph to be #4. So Boeheim definitely uses that to his benefit, and he'd be crazy not to, but their production in the NBA, aside from MCW, leaves a little more to be desired.

Ollie is one big man away from coming back loaded for 2 seasons and a real big chance to be a top favorite. Someone to play PF with Brimah or center with him.
We do. His name is Kentan Facey. He's proven he's a monster on the boards. NY state POY. He's going to flourish with playing time.

.-.
Assuming Purvis and Hamilton spend more than a year here we would have Purvis, Hamilton, Calhoun, Ali, and even Cassell Jr as guys who can play at the 2/3 spots, not really a big need there.

Silver lining; takes them out of Donovan Mitchell recruitment.

No it doesn't. Mitchell is a PG/SG. Richardson is a SG/SF. I don't think they were hard up for Mitchell anyway.

They have latched onto him while visiting Chris McCullough, although with him booted from school who knows. I was concerned honestly.

My very early prediction based on absolutely nothing is that Uconn and PC split Mitchell and Jalen Adams.
I guess we will see how it all plays out, they are both priorities for both schools. The one thing that might tip Mitchell in UConn's favor is he has said repeatedly he prefers a big school. They are both studs.

Ohh they are recruiting him, but I don't think he is a priority.

Another New Jersey Catholic school kid.

That makes UConn ZERO for 78. It's a talisman for UConn. If we ever nab one, the program will collapse into a black hole.

Didn't Kevin Freeman play at Patterson Catholic?

Edit: He Did. We've got one on staff ;)

Yep, from Springfield originally but played a year at a Jersey Catholic. You not counting that?
Depends. Was he at Jersey Catholic when UConn was recruiting him and did he commit to UConn when he was still there? If not then it doesn't count.

Ollie's inability to get commitments from the entire top 75 will prove to be his downfall. He has to learn how to creatively split up some of the scholarships. For example, have five guys share one - then one guy takes Monday classes, one guy Tuesday, etc.

I like Facey... But he's proven nothing thus far. Grabbing some boards versus the hobbits at Maine does not prove that he's a monster or a potential star. There's a reason he's not getting any run against the good teams. In time he could be great. But we should all take a step back on him as we all have done with the Brimah = Okafor/Mutombu comparisons that we had after game 1.

Sometimes I feel like I'm at the Vatican.
