One of the categories was “Famous Coaches Named Jim” with the solution being: Boeheim, Calhoun, Harbaugh, Mora.

However, it pissed me off for two reasons:

1) I realize the NY Times presented the solutions in alphabetical order, but Boeheim should never be on any list ahead of Calhoun. Period. (We need to change the alphabet if necessary.)

2) Boeheim and Calhoun simply aren’t in the same category. Period. (What, the NY Times couldn’t think of another coach named Jim?)

You should be pleased that Mora made the list. He's an excellent coach, but to be classed with the other three is a major compliment to him.

It is the NEW YORK Times

Maybe it wasn’t obvious? ... I was trying to be humorous in a post noting major publicity for UConn. (I doubt even the most deranged fan would insist on rearranging the alphabet over something as trivial as this.) For the record, I have enormous respect for Jim Boeheim, as well as a very, very minor positive personal connection.

What I found most interesting, and the point I had hoped to make:

The New York Times is very biased toward the local teams in their sports coverage, but the news outlet’s reach and influence truly is global. This was major publicity for UConn sports, but also one that seemed intended to stoke the rivalry for New York City basketball ... especially the battle for MSG ... One of the other categories was Basketball Teams in New York City ... Answer: in alphabetical order ... Knicks, Liberty, Nets, Red Storm.
