Hmmm. I thought she was a good fit in the wide-open Phoenix offense.

Phoenix has plenty of guards on their roster; so they reduced their roster and recovered the draft pick for next year.

Sounds like a decent strategy, though I need to look at their roster. Maggie may not be as good all around or proven at the pro level, but she's a superior shooter--at any level.

I gave up long ago trying to make sense of how Pheonix makes draft picks, develops them, makes trades, etc.. Frustrating at best.

Indiana is a better situation for Lucas.

Lucas has been doing well, but the likelihood of making the Mercury's roster is slim. There are several veterans, and Brondello is putting together a very experienced roster. Could be she favors the vets at her position (Anete Jekabsone-Zogota, Shay Murphy, Briana Gilbreath) over the rookie.

But I would have loved to have kept Lucas with Phoenix.
