If you go to www.allamericanredheads.com I have a page on her. She should be in wbhof. Her wbl uniform is in Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

She has highest season avg ever for a pro. Something like 32.jpg and that was before 3 pt line. I have her 55 point game on video..she was amazing and.we still talk or email once in a while

The situation for top notch female hoop players has come a long way. Interesting read.

no thanks... I enjoy Slam and it's very impressive of them to publish a story as such

DaddyChoc, thanks for the article on Molly the Gunner ! I do remember Dean Meminger. He played for Al Mcguire at Marquette. People used to ask Coach Mcguire what kind of offense he ran ? Coach replied he just gave the ball to Dean when he wanted it, and where he wanted it ! Brilliant !

would've never knew her if it wasnt for reading my Slam magazine

Never knew about her either.
Really? You guys don't read the Boneyard? She's been mentioned on her quite a few times.

I don't read nor respond to every topic on the BY... don't stick my nose in everything!

Wasn't knocking Slam but rather noting the AllAmericanRedheads has some great stuff there you might enjoy. John has a great collection of WBB history pulled together in one site.

Maurice Lucas complained how he didnt have any plays run for him. McGuire said, "on this play you get the offensive rebound and on that play you get the offensive rebound"

"... The first women’s league started with eight teams; the Houston Angels, New York Stars, Dayton Rockettes, New Jersey Gems in the Eastern Division and Chicago Hustle, Minnesota Fillies, Milwaukee Does and Molly’s Iowa Cornets in the Midwest Division."

The New Jersey Fricking GEMS??? Were they the original Jewel of the East?
