Maggie Lucas is a twin for Mel Thomas and Caroline Doty knows every weakness of Machine Gun Maggie and they (UCONN) will not let Maggie get her feet set on Sunday.....The UCONN pressure along with the ability to score quickly will force PSU into a game they do not want to play from behind by 20 + at the half.

That is the exact comparison I always draw when trying to explain Maggie to people in CT. They are soooo similar in attitude and hustle except that Maggie is much less disciplined in driving the lane and has developed a love to mix it up in there. Maggie will sacrifice her body at anytime in anyway for the ball and her team. She has a bit of linebacker or defensive back in her.

I am still debating, personally, however, whether I put Kelly on Maggie. It might be far more disrupting to put Kelly on Bentley.

That was, exactly, the point. Mel knew driving the lane wasn't her skillet and didn't try it. Some here called for Mel to do it but she had the discipline to stay with her game.

Maggie has the ability to penetrate the lane to a degree and wants to develop it and gets in among the trees and has real brain fart and desperation shot moments other than hoping the opponent bails her out with a free trip to the line it can lead to TOs. The result is she throws up some really silly and ugly shots.
