Here are my top 3 lyrics or lines from songs that make no apparent sense.

1) "Marconi Plays the Mamba"- Song- We Built This City.

2) "Semolina Pilchard Climbing Up The Eiffel Tower"- Song- I Am The Walrus.

3) "And so it was later, when the miller told his tale, he said that her face just ghostly turned a whiter shade of pale". Whiter Shade of Pale.

Number three seems to be a reference to the Miller's Tale from the Canterbury Tales.

My vote for nonsensical lyrics would be....

It is a reference to the Miller's Tale and through one interpretation of the song as a tryst gone terribly wrong it does kinda make sense.

Well if you could ever figure out what the lyrics were (or if he didn't change them in concert so often), maybe we could figure out if they made sense. :cool:
