Anyone saying they aren't has no idea what they're talking about. Try and find 34 at-large teams without UConn. You can't do it.

Insider: http://insider.espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/blog/_/name/ncbexperts/id/7528625/uconn-huskies-bid-safe-now-cbb

"Take a look at where Connecticut falls on the curve. There are 20 at-large teams behind the Huskies. Before people get too carried away with the Bubble/NIT talk, remember that they still have a very solid safety net. They may be out of the Top 25, but by no means are they close to being out of the bracket."

This team is going to have at least 6 more losses minimum... maybe more. I just don't see them making the tournament this year.

Great - go away then.

Looking at the rest of the country, there's a lot of flotsam and jetsam - the bar for entry in the tourney is very, very low.

Exactly - we're back to the "UConn in a vacuum" syndrome.

Honestly, some people need to realize that the contents of their head are of absolutely no value or interest to the rest of the planet. Those people should just smile and nod.

That might be the biggest weakness of the internet. The 'smile and nod' crowd is forced to express themselves in ways that expose the reasons why they should only smile and nod.

It's February blanking second for Chrissakes. Has anyone looked at the BE standings lately? If you did you may have noticed that hardly anyone is out of anything. As a UCONN fan I'm sitting on a national championship with a complete mulligan on this season. We have talent on this team and we're gonna know within a couple of weeks whether they want to sit on it or use it. I say the're not going to give their season away, and if they do I'm not gonna like it but I sure as he'll ain't gonna start taking lithium. So we should start that guy and not this guy huh? Well our coaching staff has a head and assistant coaches with well over 1000 wins, NBA players and duck knows who else. Lets everyone step back from the ledge and grab a cold one.

I don't think ayone is concerned with UConn being "out of the field" at this exact point in time.. what is worrying is we probably have to finish 6-3 or 5-4, and are playing worse and worse with each game.

That being said, there's no way we're actually as bad as we looked the last few games. And if we can stop the bleeding enough to sneak into the NCAAs, we'll be in a field much better suited for our style of play than the Big East is.

You are a caricature of yourself.

If you actually knew him, and you might, you'd realize just how true that really is.

We would get in if the NCAA tournament started today. Unfortunately, it doesn't...and we will keep losing games until we find a leader.

I'm not sure how Lunardi can make the statement that we are comfortably in. In the end it will come down to wins and losses. If they win enough games they will be in, if they don't there's always next year.

In all seriousness, I said they didn't look like they cared a few weeks ago. I dont go out of my way to push it in anyones face. It looked that way then, it really looks that way now. Right now, Boatright is just about the only player who seems to gives a crap about this team, this season. Not about the NBA, draft stock, what he did last year, or how great everyone thinks he is.

I also think that despite that, theyre very in the field at the moment. They can still very much be in the field in spite of their own apathy. This isn't a complicated argument.

They can turn it around, but it's going to take a complete attitude adjustment from basically the entire team and coaching staff.

Wow, sarcasm is not your strong suit.

90% of what I write on here is sarcasm. If you're taking anonymous statements on a message board that seriously, you've got bigger issues than you think.

Unless, of course, there is no [tournament] next year because of APR issues.
