LSU's East Coast swing starts with a visit to NJ then to Connecticut on Monday

I'm sure many of you do not get the Big Ten Network, its ch715 on the Comcast Network in the Hartford area

Not a bad game
Bits of skill, certainly effort by both teams.
Rutgers doing better on the "O"boards ahead 23-19

LSU noses ahead

When LSU lost a bunch of games to start the season
The UTenn folks took Nikki off the list of potential, fantasy replacements for Holly
But watching her team...no contest.
Much better coached than UTenn.

meanwhile, conference-mate SMU is about to defeat Pac-10 Arizona, and #9-ranked Miss State only beat Florida Gulf Coast by 5.

CViv and Nikki's "end of the game handshake" was warm & fuzzy unlike Geno and everyone else

I wonder about one thing though. LSU was behind by 15 with 7 min left yet they stayed in the 2 3 zone with all 5 defenders inside the arc. Rutgers was able to run down the shot clock by dribbling and passing around the outside of the arc uncontested. Good coaching?

The Lady Tigers did switch to man-to-man in the 4th, after Rutgers had gotten well ahead. I don't think that UConn should lose any sleep about LSU. The Scarlet Knights (isn't that guys? I guess Scarlet Ladies won't work)) had a couple of good players, but the Tigers had no real standout. Their top scorer in this one (Hyder), a large person, played like a tree falling from the foul line to the basket. Best advice: try not to let her fall on you. As for the zone defense, Geno will have to decide if he wants to start Napheesa, who can shoot from mid-range or Gabby who lives under the basket. Another option is to start Lou and try to drop some shots over the zone. But any way Coach goes should work.

Defeating Arizona is not necessarily difficult. And we will be playing Florida Gulf Coast.

Arizona is better than previous years. That said, they feasted on little sisters in the OOC. They may win more than one or two in conference, but not many. I would put them on a par with SMU.

RU is a much better 3-pt shooting team than the previous two seasons (which is not saying much, since the team barely took any 3's the past two seasons). Both Copper and Scaife have added the 3-pt shot to their game, and the development of sophomore Shrita Parker adds another perimeter threat to the line-up. Hernandez remains the designated 3-pt shooter off the bench.
