Honestly what was truly disappointing in this game was Kim’s VERY benign outfit of blue jeans, black sweater top with a long white sweater jacket. I mean come on, it was a Pink out for cancer week-and she wears that???

They showed the last 5 years of W/L records of LSU and Ole Miss that showed the opposite trends were occurring with Ole Miss improving every year and LSU was faulting badly until this year with the fine, fine job Kim has done.

To me, she deserves AP Coach of the Year but that usually goes to the Elite teams like a Wed Moore this year, or Dawn or maybe even Jeff if he wins the ACC. Tara will also get some consideration. But none of them have stemmed the tide and put optimism back into a storied program the way Kim has. Just sayin’

Kim deserves a lot of credit for what has happened over the last 6 months. Best start to a season since 2006/2007. Signed a very good class and has gotten attendance soaring to levels we haven’t seen since Fowles days. I think LSU has spent more weeks in the top 25 this year than all of the Nikki era combined. Nikki left some good players but coaching is definitely the big reason for such a major jump.

I would probably give the coach of the year to the OU coach if they win the big 12, dethroning Baylor’s big run after the mediocre job Sherri did for years before stepping down.

SEC I would give coach of the year to Florida’s coach as of today given they lost their HC and best player and have had a remarkable run. But awards will be better decided in a month, a lot of games left to be played and things can change in a hurry for any team.

She work pink last night. Because of Kim, Mike (The Tiger) now has a shopping addiction.

First, I have relatives that have passed from cancer and I’m a huge supporter of Pink Week. However regarding her general wardrobe choices I always imagine her going to a shop to get fitted and picking out clothes to play out like that tuxedo fitting scene from Dumb and Dumber.

I think KM has significant competition this year for COY: I think she, the coach at OK and the coach at FL would all be good choices.

On another note, I went to see how the kids from LSU who transferred has done this year.

-Dominique Davis has been solid for Southern Miss averaging over 15 PPG and shooting around 40% from 3, just below a 2/1 assist to TO ratio. She doesn't play the best competition though but she has been very solid.

-Tiara Young has been very underwhelming, she actually seems like she has regressed, she averages 7 points for Houston but doesn't -start.

-Treasure Thompson doesn't start from EMU and only averages 2 points a game

-Destini Lombard doesnt start for SFA and only averages 2 points per game.

-Karli Seay has been a solid addition for FGCU this year, averages 7 points per game and is miraculously shooting over .400 from three in her limited attempts (40).

All in all LSU didn't lose anything but I kinda wish Davis could have stayed. She honestly impressed me more than Young out of HS, capable three point shooter who can distribute the ball. She didn't get much time under Nikki or develop much unfortunately.

I think we played very well in the second half of a game that made me very nervous because Texas A&M had more to play for than we did.....but I liked how the ladies responded.

I'm predicting right now that the regular season finale at Tennessee will decide 2nd place.

Hopefully but Miss St and Florida will be tough. Although it feels like LSU has been slowly regaining form since the Arkansas game.

I’m taking it one game at a time. Only game I feel reasonably comfortable about is Alabama at home

Proud of the 2nd half adjustments. We hear a lot about Pointer but Morris is simply a baller as well

Davis was definitely someone I wanted to keep. I’m glad she has found success. Young probably would have definitely had a better shot here.

This was win number 21. Coach Mulkey is on the way to another 30 game winning season.

21 wins is the most games we have won in a season in 8 years, with 4 regular season games left, SECT, and NCAAT. If they go past 23 wins, it will be the most LSU has won since their last final four team.

Aifuwa has reverted into last year form since Ole Miss. Misses wide open layup after wide open layup. Newby does her usual rebound but not much offensively. Cherry is pretty much only good at home but it is what it is at this point until they can get better players. Morris is tough as nails, getting her IMO is what made this season possible. LSU isn't in this spot without adding her onto the roster late.

Alexis Morris, 15 in the 4th, carried them to the W.

Kim never had that kind of attendance success at Baylor! Kudos to LSU and Kim for getting the word out and garnering the support.

Some regions just seem to want to support their programs and some very good programs can't get anyone to appreciate them. Iowa and Iowa State fall into the former and Baylor, Texas and Stanford fall into the latter...

LSU fans will support programs who do well but also put a quality product out there. Look at our gymnastics meets.

I think we beat Alabama. The outcome of Florida/TN would not surprise me. Could go 0-2, 1-1, and 2-0 and none of it would shock me. They are capable.

Being out home verses Florida is big. Some of our players just are just not good on the road (Cherry). I am expecting Morris and Pointer to have huge games, they still need more from Aifuwa. Aifuwa has been pretty bad since Ole Miss where she surprisingly out played Austin. Not sure what is going on but we struggle much more when we don't get production from her.

I think Aifuwa is tired, as is others. It's been a long year with some back to back games due to covid. Several players are shooting short, which is always due to fatigue. Now's the time to dig deep!

I figured but Aifuwa historically gets into these funks, and for the most part she has stayed out of that zone for most of the year. Hopefully she works out of this funk soon and she gets back on track for post season. LSU is a much much much more dangerous team when she plays well. Having some balance inside to complement Pointer and Morris helps a lot.

I think Payne has been giving some great minutes lately off the bench as well. Personally, I am a little surprised Trasi doesn't get more time at times. She gives good minutes and she definitely more offensively capable than Newby. Gusters..... she rebounds the ball more but does nothing offensively unfortunately.

I always felt when Payne name has been called. She always give us some production.
