Ah - OK, the 2012 Olympic medal ribbon was purple, but the 2014 WC medal ribbon was red and white, and in the Fiba WC the coach does get a medal and is on the stand with the team! So this would appear to be the post 2014 WC staff photo with them all wearing their medals.

In addition, the 2016 ribbons were multi-colored and said "Rio." These are not 2016 Olympic medals.

Geno is not wearing one because, with 11 rings on his fingers, he was unable to properly grasp it and hang it around his head.
