Louisville vs Kentucky

One thing for sure you can take out of this game, good shooters aren't ranked real high in high school. Bunch of masons! I get "they play great defense" but LVille has had open looks and they're lucky to get rim on shots. Pitiful offense is becoming the norm!

Louisville has always been a bunch of chuckers. Pitino about that zone/man pressure/ bumping D way before offense.

Calhoun was a defense first coach too.

The funniest thing is Calipari at halftime only worried about discussing the "bumping" by the Cards? Has he seen his team play defense? WTF

Coach K would have been proud of that flop.

Some folks are not making good accounts of themselves today. Jones looks like an idiot - and his cockiness to quality ratio is way out of whack anyway (shooting below 30 percent on the year now). Harrell is completely overwhelmed by NBA-type size. And the Harrisons have been overwhelmed by NBA-type speed (again). Kentucky has been better with Ulis and Booker.

I think the Cards win this, they can't shoot as bad in the second half.

The Harrison's are the most over hyped pgs in the country. They're generic players who bring nothing to the table besides the push off and dribbling

Kentucky is lucky lousiville is missing alllllllll these open shots

On the flip side, Lyles looks legit - tremendous skill for his size and not afraid to make plays - and WCS has cemented his lottery status. He's impacted this game without scoring.

Not sure that anyone from Ville has shown well as an individual (maybe Rozier - he's made a couple tough shots), but collectively their defense has been excellent.

Jones is a big drop-off from what they used to get from the point guard position.

I dunno. Jones (1-11) has played the Harrisons (1-10) to a standstill. Up to their supporting casts to make the difference.

I would start ulis over both Harrison's. Play a man down

Another sloppy low scoring game. Seems to be the theme this season.

UK could have used Ullis in the national championship game last year. He would have been a perfect second ball handler for Uconn this year too.

As bad as the Harrison's look I would still take either one to be the 2 guard with boat at point.

Why don't we give Purvo a legit shot to prove himself before we say stuff like this?

It's not a knock on purvis.

22-18? Wow. The way people were talking about Kentucky beating some of the NBA teams, I was expecting a really high scoring game. 22-18? Most be a defensive battle or these guys can not shoot.
Neither team shoots the ball very well

Sure it is.

By the way, anyone watching the UNC game and just hear Battier refer to the '99 Duke team as a 'skidmark in the annals of history' thanks to the UConn game? He said it in the context of not getting too excited about this Kentucky team's place in history. Heh.

Something about using annal and skidmark in the same sentence about Duke basketball just naturally is an invitation to bring out my juvenile humor.

Ulis, Booker, and anyone else on the perimeter with Towns, Lyles, and Cauley-Stein inside would be a pretty good team. I wonder how much experience they'll have together by tourney time.

This game is why platooning is stupid. When Kt gets against a really good squad, you need your best five players on the court in rough and tumble game shape. They need to have a well established chemistry on court. Platooning actually helps your opponent. College kids can play six hours a day in the summer. They really don't get that tired.

Yeah, no.
