Louisville at UT Martin | The Boneyard

Louisville at UT Martin

Louisville beats Oregon. And then goes into double OT against a 4-5 team that Mississippi State beat by 36. That's.... basketball I guess.

I guess I'll root for UT Martin. Their win raises their RPI ranking significantly, which raises ours.

At UT Martin, Christmas flattered to come early only to deceive.

Whoa - got home a minute ago and noticed on ESPN.com this game was in 2OT! Just turned it on - geez, L'ville won't be moving up this week, win or lose...

Whoops - L'ville runs it out to 8 points after being ahead only by 2 with 29 seconds left. Final 71-63.

UT folded in the second OT.

Good win by The Cards.

Louisville did not run anything close to an offensive set. Bizarre. Did Jeff forget to scout UT Martin? Did he have a side bet?

The disparity in talent between the two teams was huge and yet the Skyhawks hung around into the 2nd OT with several chances to pull off the upset. It almost turned out to be THE REVENGE OF THE CUPCAKE!!!

I've never seen the top 10 teams in the nation be so vulnerable to defeat by also-rans. This is a bizarre season. How could Louisville defeat Oregon, which has everyone back from an almost-National Championship team, then go to double-overtime to UT-Martin?

Bizarre season.

And I was stressed over a 10 pt win against dePaul...I might have needed surgery with Geno if I was a Lville fan....

Even in our worst games, there are multiple examples of good team ball. Louisville was basically Dana Evans go and create the whole game.

Well, they did lose Maite Cazorla, who was a very nice player and pretty key cog last year FWIW.

Not that that explains anything.

I'm not sure scheduling 7 straight road games with finals thrown in there helped. This team looks dysfunctional

UO is still scary good. Will be exciting to see Stanford vs UO vs OSU vs UCLA vs Arizona this PAC-12 season
